I've heard of this problem before. I just recnetly connected to @home service and am using the RT314 router. Now when people try and send me ICQ files they get that message cannot establish a connection to the user or something like that.

I need to know how to fix this.

Well basically when I turn on my computer it starts running but the monitor light goes orange and I get nothing displayed. I've tried switching monitors but thats as far as I got before work. I was hoping to get some suggestions of things i could try.

I think there is a way to do this. I can remember reading it somewhere. If you need instructions and more detials the best bet would be to ask someone on microsoft technet. They can usually point you to the right place.

I just purchased a 1Ghz Athlon with the KT7A motherboard. I'm also using the ATI Radeon 64Mb DDR. My computer is now constantly freezing up. I am hearingthat AMD has problems with my video card. Becasue ATI is now cross-licensed with INTEL????

Okay i recentlty upgraded my computer to a AMD 1Ghz with an A-bit KT7A motherboard. Before this I had a Intel Celeron 400Mhz with an A-bit BH6 motherboard. Just incase anyone in the future wants to know this. The easiest way is to copy the "START MENU" folder from the administrator profile to the "ALL USERS" profile.

Okay i've installed win2k. I've installed everything from Office 2000, to ZoneAlarm.......pretty much everything I want accessable. So the start menu's and desktop are all setup the way i want them. This is what I want everyone else who logs in to have.

OK guys the situation is such: I zipped up my files and put them on CD. Then I erased it of my hard drive. Now I changed that Drive from FAT32 to NTFS. Thats isn't important. But the file that I zipped and put onto disk isn't working. It's like 500megs of stuff from along time. So what i'm asking ...

Agreed, it's just a thought for those people who have a need to spend money constantly to speed up their computer. It is a good investment.

But for people like myself, I would prefer to get a 40GB 7200RPM IDE for the same price of.....lets say a 8GB SCSI.....

Another way to speed up the computer that most people forget about is getting SCSI internals. Like hard drive, cd-rom drive etc. You may not see the difference in nummber format like MHz, but you'll notice how much faster the computer works.

Just a thought.

What are the effects of having say 128Mb PC-100 Ram and 256 Mb of PC-133 Ram together on the same board? Does the 133 take on the lowest RAM attributes and become 100 MHZ?

Well basically the question is can it be done? I have Win2k Professional installed on my HDD. Could I also install Win2k Server and choose at the boot-up which one I want to run?

As far as I know you don't have to connect the audio cable from your SB Live to your burner. I have a Panasonic CDR and I haven't connected my SB Live to it. It records audio fine.

As for it not being able to read data. I'm not really sure of that. First time i've heard of that.

Okay I have a High Speed satelitte connection. Now some setting somewhere that I don't know about has to be causing this. My Up and Download speeds keep peaking then going to low then zero. Like this:
