Anti-virus question.....kinda general

Post by yurij_14 »

Basically i'm currently using Mcafee Viruscan with my Win2k operating system. I've noticed that it's really sucking out my resources.

I've looked through the different posts and still need an opinion. Now in terms of being really good programs i've heard norton and innoculate being thrown around. If some one could either suggest which one is better or resources were I could find out that would be great.

I'd also be looking for the one that uses the least amount of resources.

So is it innoculate, norton or something else i'm missing???

Thanks

Inoculate has outscored most other AV's in testing done by the wildlist. It does use less resources and from my experience leaves your system more stable. I even have it set to scan "all" files and do not notice a slowdown.
IMHO=Highly recommended! http://www.virusbtn.com/100/

Just so you know VET is the same enginge by the same company, just designed for corporate use. Check the results at the link.
