CD Writer Problem

My Creative CDRW 4224 is having problem with reading data cd, everytime I put a data cd (even not a cdr), the cd writer ONLY regonizes the cd as an audio cd although the cd is not. It worked before and there was no problem at all. And I didn't change any setting in the control panel or IDE cable. I connect it to secondary master and there is no slave drive. One hard drive is connected to primary master. Also, this drive burns cd without any problem. Any suggestions???

By the way, do I have to connect the audio cable from my Sb live to my burner in order to burn audio cd??

As far as I know you don't have to connect the audio cable from your SB Live to your burner. I have a Panasonic CDR and I haven't connected my SB Live to it. It records audio fine.

As for it not being able to read data. I'm not really sure of that. First time i've heard of that.

Nope, but you won't be able to listen to the audio CD w/o the audio cable.

if you are using Nero software dump it, use Adaptec easy CD creator or any other

Oh, that's caused by NeroBurn??
I am using it.
But why it causes this problem??
