How can I find the manufacturar and the brand, and the model name of my mother board, other than goin thru the hardware itself.
Is there any software that can determine the brand name of the hardware in my computer, especially my motherboard.

I have a yamaha 4416 CD-RW. I bought it approximately 3 yrs ago. It was working fine all the time. Then when I installed WIN ME, It worked for few days then, it just wouldnt work. I mean when I try to burn something, it does burn because I can see the burned part when I flip the CD upside ...

well.. since the msdos window Ur goin to open is withing Win98 OS.. just select teh text and press ctrl+c .. thats for copying.. then open notepad.. and press ctrl+v ... this is to paste the stuff...

U guys in US are soooo Lucky... . I can only dream about those speeds... ... My max is only 300kbps after all the tweaks..

System Requirements for Windows Me

VGA or higher resolution monitor
Pentium 150MHz processor or better
32MB of RAM or better
480MB to 645MB free hard-disk space
CD-ROM drive

Although this is the minimum req.. I suggest atleast a celeron 500... with atleast 64meg ram... If U want WinME to work ...

Hey Alien :p ... hehe.. well If U want to find out Ur ip address... ONe way to do is START > RUN > winipcfg
This brings up the windows IP configoration(forgot how to spell config..) window..
This should give Ur ip address, Adapter address, Subnet mask, and default gateway... That is the easiest way ...

Registy is where all the information about ur computer exists. It has the info about all the softwares and hardwares U have installed. U can say.. It's like a source code for Windows... by means that U can change all kinds of default settings in windows. Pobably LOBO is more experienced in that area ...

Hey man.. Since U are new to tweaking, I suggest U go to http://www.cablenut.com and from the dropdown menu select download(i think)... and d/l the software for cablemodem... It works great...

I use 3com NIC and 3com Cable Modem with WinME.. Works great for me..

An alternate for the IE would be the OPERA web browser... from http://www.opera.com
IT's really good... almost perfect (for me atleast)... I used to use it when I had the 5 sec delay with IE.. IT's a free browser, but has the ad bar on top. U can always get the serial number officially or ...

This question is for anybody who tried this tweak... It's the win98 tweak from cablenut... Does the tweak work for WinME also, or is it just for win98 only... and I didn't see only tiny bit difference regarding the speed.... Did anyone else tired it... If U did, was is worth it or should I just ...
