Well about 3 months ago I had SHAW@home cable which was a good service with decent speeds both up and down. I could get 80+ down and Up at 35+ which was gr8. Then my ISP Shaw got taken over by another ISP Rogers@home and then my cable suddenly turned terrible my downloads turned into 13K and my uploads to around 8K.
I'am the type of person that trades a lot of mp3s and albums so I need good speeds booth up and down to get good trades going but i cant when a person is sendming me something at 50K+ and i'am sending them something at 8K.
My other choice would be 2 switch to dsl 987kpbs down and only 128 kbps up which would cap my uploads.. I really dont know what 2 do. I tried calling my ISP but they gave me a bunch of bull ****, I ran bandwith test and my combined bandwith was 240kbps.. pretty sad eh...
So what do u guys think would be a better for me DSL or stick wit Cable?
thanks
Stupid @home... Gonna switch to DSL...

Well after calling my ISP 3 times the 4th was the charm because the guy finally figured out my problems he said i'am having major packet loss and my ip wasnt routing properly. He said he didnt know what 2 do and would forward this to the supervisor and he should call me back (HE BETTER!) heh. Neways what is packet loss and how can i fix it and how can i change my ip to route properly? My ISP also said that the problem is on there end.
