Program that will give IP from Router?

Post by Alien »

Anybody know of a program that will scan your router (for example, the linky) for your internet IP?

I'd like to have a TSR or something that can have your internet IP in the little text box when you hover your mouse over it.

Reason I'm asking is because I do a lot of online gaming, and giving the IP out without having to go into the router config each time would be handy!

Hey Alien :p ... hehe.. well If U want to find out Ur ip address... ONe way to do is START > RUN > winipcfg
This brings up the windows IP configoration(forgot how to spell config..) window..
This should give Ur ip address, Adapter address, Subnet mask, and default gateway... That is the easiest way... Well there are other progs...but why use them when U have one already installed.. :D

Winipcfg is in Win95/98/ME

In Win2k you use IPconfig

open up a command prompt type ipconfig and you can see your ip

He needs the IP address of the WAN side of his router.

Here's a program that will do what you want:

Thanks Kip, what you've given is a big help... I was about to get upset seeing people telling me things to do that are common sense to the computer literate.

For those who gave no help, and attempted to make me look like a fool - please read the posts COMPLETLY before responding, in an effort to avoid hard feelings.

Thank ya!
