Who exactly is a moderator...

I know the difference between members, Advance members, and Administrators.... But Today I found out that there is a position called moderators... What exactly is their role...??

Moderators help keep discussion on topic, the board free of spam and PG13...

Moderators for the different Forums can be different people, while Admin is a global setting.

To expand on that:

Moderators can close threads, edit posts, delete threads, Move/Archive threads, Open threads, make announcements, send out emails i think too...

Administrators can do all that plus everything else the UBB will let you do down to changing/adding new forums, banning users, and the colors and the actually settings of the forum's themselves...

the bosses, as most of us already know, we "need" them. i was here before they exsisted, and i for one perfered it that way. we were able to discuss the "real" reasons many of us have cable and dsl.
