http://www.reget.com/en/download.asp thats what I use when I have a ton of files to tag and it won't mess with my settings and works with that common virus we use called windos

Whatever you do, don't use Netscapes Download Manager...it's spyware...

Lately, for some unknown reason, Netscape 6---which I downloaded a while ago---has decided to annoint itself my download manager. How do I stop this from happening without uninstalling the program?

Would appreciate any useful tip?

Isn't the spyware detector "OptOut" from Gibson Research Corporation www.grc.com ?
BTW, it's not only free but Gibson has some pretty nifty tools such as an online security leak detector (for testing firewalls, etc) for free too. Good stuff and highly recommended.
Oh, I like Download Accelerator. I think that OptOut may have disabled its spyware characteristics...

The new Adware4.5 can be downloaded from their. It's a nice program for spyware. Hope this helps.
