Will my cable/DSL modem work with Linux or other Operating Systems ?

Tags: ,
A cable modem is just a bridge (a few are routers), so you can use it from any computer OS that supports networking. Linux, Mac OS, Windows or whatever - the OS is not the limitation. Some service providers set OS requirements, but that is only because their install techs are trained to handle only certain Operating Systems.
