Is it possible to set up 128bit WEP for some clients and 64bit for others?

Tags: ,
Not on any of the common access points or wireless routers. There are some 3com access points that offer per-client or per-connection configuration which includes encryption methods. However, most current wireless devices offer only one encryption method per device. If you need seperate encrypted and unencrypted connections, then probably the best way is using two separate access points.

I never tried that in WinXP but I am running Vista now and you can set up different networks and use different keys if that is what you meant.... ;-)

Help! I need to know how to set up vista to accept a 128 bit WEP authentication. So far I have only got it to accept 64 Bit.
