Asus router Traffic Analyzer - Statistic empty?

Tags:
It seems to be a common nuisance in the firmware of some recent Asus routers, such as the RT-AC3200, RT-AC86U, RT-AC68U, etc. for the "Traffic Analyzer" statistics not to show any information. Sometimes the issue can be remedied by a simple reboot, reset, or firmware upgrade, however, we have found only the following to work reliably for us:

1. Login to the admin interface, navigate to Adaptive QoS > QoS tab > Enable QoS, set to "Bandidth Limiter".
2. Open "Web History" tab under Adaptive QoS, and enable it.
3. Give the router a couple of minutes of activity with clients connected to collect some data and start populating the logs.
4. Navigate to Traffic Analyzer > Traffic Monitor and toggle "Real-Time"/"Last 24 Hours" > in the "Statistic" tab toggle the "Introduction Demo" on and off.

This has worked for me on a RT-AC68, and a RT-AC86U with 3.0.0.4.384_81351 firmware (newest as of 2020-01-12). It is my guess that web history needs to be enabled for the logs to be initialized, but I could be wrong. Either way, this seems to do the trick, let us know if it works for you, your comments are appreciated.

Feb 2nd 2023 - RT-AX86U Firmware Version:3.0.0.4.388_22068

What Worked for me. hope this might help someone with the same issue
log into router
Advanced setting -> Privacy -> and withdraw consent.
Then go to traffic Analyzer and toggle it off / ON where you will be prompted to give your consent again. This enable the logging and reports start to show.
Go to the AIprotection page and toggle it on as that goes off when you withdraw consent.

Going to Privacy > Withdraw did the trick! Thanks for the help - I've been trying to figure out this issue on my new Asus router for some time now.

ON at new RT-AC86U. Traffic analizer worked yesterday. Not today. I rebooted the router in the evening. But not sure if that was the reason for it to stop working. I have tried the suggestions on this thread, but still don't work. I thought that ASUS router were supposed to be the best???

Asus routers are good in general. A couple of those extra features may be buggy, but other brands wouldn't even have half those features to begin with.

Starting 6/11/2023 the traffic analyzer has started working again for me. Probably after the last upgrade.RT-AX86U Firmware Version:3.0.0.4.388_23285.

Hoping it stays working. I worked when I initially installed the router, but then for a long time it would just show "Used traffic: No Traffic" and a big orange circle.

Hope fully it has been fixed for others on the new version too.

BTW Network Services Filter now seems to be broken. Values will not save.
