Hitron CODA5834

details: Tri-band DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Router
hardware type: Cable Gateway
date added: 2022-10-10
updated: 2022-11-10
The gateway supports DOCSIS 3.1 - up to 6 Gbps downstream - and next generation Wi-Fi 6E Tri-Band Router speeds up to 11 Gbps.

The CODA5834 supports DOCSIS 3.1 to take Internet speeds to a whole new level, increasing the capacity of HFC networks by more than 50 percent and reducing latency. Your customers can connect more devices, enjoy richer digital experiences, and get fast, reliable Internet service to meet today and tomorrow's needs.

The CODA5834 features a software switchable return path that enables operators to remotely change band split options between (5-85MHz/108-1218MHz) or (5-204MHz/258-1218MHz) at any time. There's no need to swap out hardware or send out a technician. This flexible and cost-effective solution enables you to seamlessly upgrade customers to higher-tier upstream speeds to meet the increased upstream bandwidth demands of video conferencing, IoT and virtual reality applications.

This CODA5834 is equipped with a third band in the 6GHz frequency which can be used for Wi-Fi backhaul. Utilizing seven (7) continuous 160MHz channels, the CODA5834 can support multiple clear channels, free from neighborhood Wi-Fi interference. It uses the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for common IoT and mobile device support.

The CODA5834 supports a 2.5 GigE port along with two Gigabit Ethernet ports to provide a wired connection to an HDTV, home office router and more.

Installation is a snap with the CODA5834. Pre-configured and pre-enabled WiFi security via WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) means that end users can quickly setup a secure wireless network without any manual configuration. You get comprehensive remote management and troubleshooting with SNMP, TR-069 and TR-369. And the CODA5834 supports the Hitron ecosystem, including MyHitron+ (a mobile application that lets end users manage their network) and HitronCloud management and analytics for service providers.
