Aztech HW550-3G

details: 4-Port Wireless-N Router plus HSPA Support for 3G Mobile Broadband
hardware type: Wireless Router
date added: 2009-11-26
updated: 2015-03-07
The Aztech HW550-3G is an IEEE802.11n wireless broadband Router with HSDPA/HSUPA 3G support. By connecting a HSDPA/HSUPA USB modem into the USB Host port of HW550-3G, surfing the internet can be accessed and shared virtually anywhere within a wire or wireless broadband network.

The product integrates with smart MIMO technology which overlays the signals of multiple radios that can successfully reduce "dead sports", increase in throughput and increase the wireless coverage range.

The router supports a backup WAN connection via DSL/Cable modem. A built-in SPI firewall protects the network against hackers and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.

Is it possible for hacker to access my web user interface as user:admin and my password, then to change login/settings ?
by Philip - 2010-09-06 12:26
It depends on how the router is setup.

Generally, the default login/password should be changed, and WAN (Internet) admin access should be disabled when initially setting up the router. If the router uses the default admin login, and WAN access to the admin interface is enabled, then yes, the router and its settings can easily be accessed fron outside the network.
