DSL-AC68VG has multiple ways to connect to the internet, with a choice of DSL, Ethernet or 3G/4G LTE. You can use DSL-AC68VG as a DSL modem Wi-Fi router or a standalone Wi-Fi router according to your needs. And with the ability to switch instantly between connections if one fails (and switch back again when it's fixed), it offers a reliable, always-on internet connectivity. MU-MIMO gives every compatible device its own dedicated full-speed Wi-Fi connection, so that multiple devices can connect at the same time without slowing down the network. DSL-AC68VG is able to connect to up to 3 MU-MIMO-compatible clients at each device's maximum speed simultaneously, unlike standard single-user MIMO where individual devices have to wait for sequential transmissions. DSL-AC68VG has advanced VoIP capabilities that allow it to be used as a complete home internet telephony system. Users can register DSL-AC68VG with up to 10 SIP-compatible VoIP accounts, and connect standard analog telephones or fax machines to the two standard RJ-11 telephony ports. Up to five cordless DECT phones can also be connected to the built-in DECT base station. Any GAP-compatible DECT phone can be connected, and DSL –AC68VG also supports the Eco-DECT energy-saving standard. DSL-AC68VG has the capacity to handle up to 5 simultaneous voice calls, and there is also an integrated solid-state answering machine. With AiRadar Beamforming technology, high power amplification, and exclusive ASUS RF fine-tuning to extend coverage, increase dynamic data speed, and enhanced stability. DSL-AC68VG incorporates ASUS AiProtection, a commercial-grade network security system powered by Trend Micro™ Smart Home Network. With AiProtection, all connected devices are protected, even if they have no antivirus capability of their own — such as IoT devices. AiProtection blocks common internet-based attacks before they reach the network, and if an infected device is detected on the network, AiProtection instantly blocks it to prevent it sending any personal information to malicious servers.
