Networking manufacturer Linksys today announced a new line-up of cable modems and wireless DSL routers at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The two new high speed cable modems (CM3008 8X4 and the CM3024 24X8) include DOCSIS 3.0 standard technology and are planned to be compatible with all major cable service providers. The two new wireless routers include the Wireless AC1900 Router (CG7500) and the Dual-Band Wireless AC Router and ADSL/VDSL Modem (X6200). The Linksys CM3008 DOCSIS 3.0 8X4 Cable Modem delivers high-speed broadband connectivity to your home and office with download speeds up to 343 Mbps and upload speeds up to 120 Mbps. The Gigabit Ethernet port provides high-speed network performance, while DOCSIS 3.0 support ensures you can connect directly to your existing cable broadband service. It will be available in Spring 2016 for $69.99. The Linksys CM3024 DOCSIS 3.0 24X8 Cable Modem delivers high-speed broadband connectivity to your home and office with download speeds up to 960 Mbps and upload speeds up to 240 Mbps. The Gigabit Ethernet port provides high-speed network performance, while DOCSIS 3.0 support ensures you can connect directly to your existing cable broadband service. It will be available in Spring 2016 for $129.99. The Linksys AC1900 Cable Router CG7500 is a 24X8 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and a Wireless AC1900 Router all-in-one. Users will get better Wi-Fi performance and enjoy networking speeds of AC1900 Mbps (N600 + AC1300), making it suitable for large households, gamers, and HD video enthusiasts. It has one USB2.0 port and 4 Gigabit Ethernet Ports. The router is expected in Summer 2016 for $249.99. The Linksys ADSL/VDSL Dual-Band Wi-Fi Modem Router – the X6200 features dual wireless bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) with data speeds up to 300Mbps (2.4GHz) + 433Mbps (5GHz) making it suitable for internet streaming and gaming. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports make it easy to share data quickly across your network, and to external devices - at speeds 10x faster than Fast Ethernet. Plus, use the high-performance USB 2.0 port to attach a storage device and quickly transfer large files or share devices across your Wi-Fi network. The X6200 also features a built-in DSL modem, making it easy to connect to DSL Internet service and enjoy fast, reliable Wi-Fi throughout the home without having to purchase an additional device.
