Wireless carrier Verizon plans to expand its LTE data service to residential customers. HomeFusion Broadband will be available nationwide, starting Thursday. So far, the service has been available in six markets in the country.

In order to subscribe for the service, users will have to buy a $200 antenna, that have to be professionally installed. The bad news is that the carrier will not install the antenna above the second story of a building. Users will also get a wireless router capable of connecting four wired and 20 wireless devices to the network. A two-year contract must also be signed.

The prices are as follow: $60 per month for 10GB of data, $90 per month for 20GB, or $120 per month for 30GB, with a $10 per GB penalty for each plan after reaching the cap. Verizon spokesperson Debra Lewis comments the company's plans:

"By the end of this year, we'll have LTE in at least 450 markets and by 2013, our LTE footprint will match our current 3G footprint, as we’ve previously stated."
