At CES 2012 Netgear announced plans to deliver a host of new wireless networking products for 2012 centered on connecting entertainment devices to a home network and boosting wireless signal through an entire home. Furthermore, the company announced the launch of a platform that will allow its new and future routers and media adapters to add new features via downloadable apps. The Smart Network Cloud Application Platform will allow consumers to purchase and download apps from the cloud to optimize and personalize their networking devices. It will be available exclusively via Netgear's latest products, such as the WNDR4700 router that was also announced today. It is a simultaneous Dual-band three-stream media storage router with Gigabit WAN/LAN ports. Netgear's Universal Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender (WN2500RP) was also introduced at CES. It extends coverage of both 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi signals coming from an existing wireless router, boosting the signal. The WN2500RP transmits simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi. It includes Netgear's FastLane Technology which lets users select an optimized performance mode designed for HD video streaming and online gaming. Additionally the extender supports up to four wired connections. It is available at a starting price of $89.99. Another router announced is the DGND4000 N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit DSL Modem Router. It provides an integrated DSL modem with high performance wireless router with speeds of up to 450 Mbps for demanding applications such as streaming HD video and multiplayer gaming. The router also includes premium features such as ReadySHAREŽ Cloud for remote access to the USB hard drive and ReadySHARE Printer to convert your USB printer into a networked printer. The company introduced the WNCE4004 N900 Video and Gaming 4-Port WiFi Adapter, as well. It supports three stream N on both bands, but not simultaneously. WNDR4700 Media Storage Router:
