According to recent reports, Google may be developing its own device that will compete Amazon Echo Show.

Code-named "Manhattan," the device will reportedly have integrated touch screen and speaker and will also work as a smart home hub hat can control Nest and other smart home devices.

The device will run a version of Android, making it easier for third-parties to build apps for it. It is expected to be the same size as the Echo Show. It will let users make video calls, leverage Google Assistant, view Google Photos, and watch YouTube videos.

It's still unclear when the device will be available. Initially, Google planned to release the gadget in mid-2018. But since Amazon already released the Echo Show in May, it may turn out that "Manhattan" may be available before the end of 2017.
