Facebook shows personal email addresses

Social networking website Facebook has done it again and revealed the personal email addresses of its users to the great unwashed.

According to Gawker, Facebook's security was breached or down for about half an hour yesterday. This was just enough time to accidentally let the private mail addresses of loads of its users go public.

No sooner had it happened than Facebook surreptitiously sorted whatever security problem it had without offering a public statement about the breach.

Unfortunately for Facebook, Gawker documents that dozens of keen social notworkers reported the problem, taking screen shots and tweeting. One said, between the profanities, "Everybody's email has been turned on to the public for at least the past 30 min. I tried going into my account to remove my email b/c I have an issue with a crazed stalker. But I wasn't able to." Another reported, "It looks like FB fixed it now. For my account anyway, it's not longer showing up to the public."
