What does it mean if it says the RAM has:

16X64 or 32X64 orginazation?

16X8 RAM type?

Do they mean speed? What's the best type?

For $500, get something that's Trinitron or Diamondtron. Diamondtron and Trinitron are essentially the same thing, just Trinitron uses one thicker horizontal line and Diamondtron uses two thinner horizontal lines. Get a UMAX. Really cheap. You can get one for $99 and it can scan at 1600X1200 dpi and at 36-bit color. Or, you can get a better UMAX for fifty dollars more and can even better quality scans and if you have a firewire port, you can take advantage of it.
