Hey, I didn't make any of the computers, I just gave the parts to someone, told him to overclock and that's what I get so no need to blame. If you don't have anything good to say, then just shut your mouth.

well, i understand that the Radeon is 400/400 because it's the DDR, suppose to run at 200/200 which makes a lot more sense, but my question is, how could u run it @300Mhz FSB?? and it's IMPOSSIBLE to run it @700 for a K6.....explain if u really have it, post pic or whatever....and i m sure u need a water cooling if u are overclocking ur system over 66% for a AMD K6!

cy88, 400Mhz CORE speed is IMPOSSIBLE for ANY video card. PERIOD. 400Mhz DDR Ram is still quite impossible cuz Radeon cards use low speed DDR.

I think he meant a fsb of 150 which would give him 300.

8.5*150 = 1275Mhz or ~1.3GHz

His Radeon is probably running at 200/200. Only the memory would be running at 400. The highest core speed I've seen on a radeon was 290 I think .(guy used PS to o/c and had a socket A HSF on it)
Fdisk?
It only take me one beer to get drunk...just not sure if it's the ninth or tenth one

What do these specs mean?

Post by billyboysport »

What does it mean if it says the RAM has:

16X64 or 32X64 orginazation?

16X8 RAM type?

Do they mean speed? What's the best type?

i mean the Radeon is 200/200 and it's DDR, so it'll read as 400/400, same as my 1Ghz, if i overclock it to 120FSB, it'll read 240Mhz (DDR) on wcpuid. But again, if you really have one of those 450@700 system, please explain how you did it, and show us some of the benchmarks or picture of it....really curious....

I have no idea how to oc a gfx card and not even pretty sure how to oc a processor without asking someone if it's safe, a friend built my last computer and he gave me the specs.

No, there is NO SUCH THING as a DDR core. There is CURRENTLY NO VIDEO CARD that can run @ 400Mhz core speed, PERIOD.

Now the 300Mhz FSB IS possible but a bit sketchy. With the new KT133A chipsets, its already running @ 266Mhz DDR (133Mhz). Now if you get high quality ram + unlock the CPU, it is possible to run @ 300Mhz DDR FSB. But your CPU won't be running @ exactly 1.3Ghz, it'll be @ 150FSB x 8.5 = 1275Mhz.

Also, the K6 III 450Mhz @ 700Mhz is COMPLETE BULLSH.IT unless you've got a Kryotech case which costs a few grand.

lol, you silly people, listen to TiggerUpperCut here, he knows what he's talking about

there is NO SUCH THING as the Chipset being DDR LOLOL, it's only MEMORY! hahaha

it's quite possible the card is at 200/200 which would be 200/400(DDR)

but you'll need some awesome cooling on that card for that!

I don't have a Radeon so I really don't know what speed they are being oc'd to these days....
