Because when you download from winmx as you might start out getting that file at 125 kbs but if someone starts getting a file from that person too then they start sucking on that persons bandwith. Bandwith has to be shared sometimes, you can't have it all all the time you know.

It doesn't matter which nic you remove. A nic is a nic. some brands are better but that won't be a problem i don't think. You can remove ics by removing it from device manager screen. Should be that simple.

Did you ever give a try without the dial up adapters?? People usually have luck with that. You don't need em so I guess you won't miss them unless you dialup everyonce in a while.

I had a very similiar problem but the problem was with the nic card. I don't know if that will help you out any but i see that you already moved the nic card around. Could that have been it?? The world may never know.

Yup...just disable all other devices booting except the cdrom so you can install the OS. After its installed enable what you need in the bios again.
