What do you recommend for a download manager to use on a cable modem. I have had DAP4, Gozilla, reget, and I don't know if people out there are using a better one that they can recommend
Most of those are spyware. They 'phone home' everything you download. IMO, the best download manager is just to organize and manage your disk space properly, but maybe that's too simple.
you dont need a download manager, cable is fast enough
when I installed my cable modem I was downloading at 50k but after installing a download manager it went upto 70k. I was just wondering if anyone can recommend a good one???????

Download Accelerator is just that. It opens multiple processes to download a file, thus speading up the download. Get Right just organizes a cue of downloads to be downloaded immediately or on a schedule. It's will not increase performance, but rather help those with slow connections and/or lots of files to download.
