If your using IE 5 or better you can restore
it back to the org. by going to ..

Add/Remove in control panel scroll down to
Internet Explorer and click on add/Remove
you will have three options here, choose repair and it will restore it to org.

I know Norm but he said that didn't work...so gave him other options. Speed doesn't always count if you can't get the engine to work...know what i mean?

Their right ! just install the lastest Ie Like 5.5sp1. Sounds like your explorer crashed. If this does not solve the problem. You my have some files missing from win 98 if so run a setup threw windows. remember to shut down your virus scan before you do this. Some virus scanner can cause Problems . If you don't shut them down be fore . Running a setup. Plus if you are already running a higher Ie 4.0 witch comes with 98. This will not work just running a setup. It will make more trouble then you need. So the last restort you would have would be to reformat and restore windows .If the IE upgrade dose not help. GoodLuck! ;)

i posted a question about this earlier in the week myself if you have any luck let me know. Some of the things that i have tried with out success are. update IE to 5.5, remove IE to 4 (or 5) rebuild it to IE5.5. Rebuild stack. set static. try different DNS servers. New NIC..... new I.P.....set dynamic. go through dial up no good on that one ethier.
Just like you one computer works just fine the other one is dead. Ive scoured tech net and the knowledge base with no results. The only thing that i have found that works for certain is a reformat!! Let me know if you have better luck.

SpeedGod, Is right once the explorer is messes up in win 98 and no trouble shooters work. You usely have to reformat and reinstall windows. In order to get it backup and running right. This is because win98 whole setup is intergrated in with the explorer. Where 95 is not. GoodLuck! ;)
