If your experiencing slowdowns while system idle is at 99 then it isn't a problem with cpu usage. Check RAM availability and run HDTach on your HD.

System idle process is what the computer does when it isnt doing anything. Its basically how much of the cpu is NOT being used. The system idle process tells the cpu to stop doing everything when it is idle so that it creates less heat.

There is no way to get it to maximize when you open it in a new window but what you can do is press ctrl+n and then click on the link. ctrl-n open a new window the same size as the current one.

I hope this helps.

Windows 2000 is definitely better if you are looking for stability and speed. The only thing that Windows 98 has over Windows 2000 is compatibility and if your not a gamer then you shouldn't worry about that. If you are a gamer, then I would suggest dual booting between Windows 2000 and Windows 98.

Alot of CDs have hidden data on them to prevent piracy. The sims is no exception. You can make an exat copy of the cd using CloneCD or you can use CDRWin in RAW mode and then download the patch so you can still play the game here.

Hope this helps :)

Yeah
that's true, but it isn't really a secret. The temp folder is just a place where windows keeps files while processing them and usually it will delete the files after, but sometimes it doesn't. The swap file is like virtual ram. When your ram gets full, microsoft uses the swap file to store data ...

Quantity vs. Speed

hi
I am running an A7V mobo and a T-Bird 800 OCed to 1GHz. I have 2 sticks of PC133 RAM in my computer and 1 stick of PC100. I was wondering if I would get faster speeds by takin ght PC100 out and running the RAM @ 133MHz or leaving it in and running it at 100MHz.

Any input appreciated.

A7V FSB Overclocking

hello, I have an A7V mobo and a T-Bird 800mhz proc and I was wondering if it is possible to set the PCI frequency back to 33mhz like in the KT7 where if you hit 133mhz, it resets the PCI to original config.

Thanx.
