A7V FSB Overclocking

Post by MADD Hatter »

hello, I have an A7V mobo and a T-Bird 800mhz proc and I was wondering if it is possible to set the PCI frequency back to 33mhz like in the KT7 where if you hit 133mhz, it resets the PCI to original config.

Thanx.

hmmm, thats an asus board right?? Ok, I dont see anything about a 1/4 pci divider but you should be ok with your pci devices up to 123 fsb or so. most quality pci devices will run that far out of spec (123 fsb / 1/3 = like 41) I have run my pci devices at 43 mhz before but they arent stable. 41 seems to be the limit.

G'Luck!

I got the A7V...there's a 1/4 divider...but you'll never get a KT133 chipset board to run w/ a fsb of 133. It's physically impossible.

You need the Asus AS7V133 or A7M266 to get a 133fsb. Or Abit's KT7a.
Fdisk?
It only take me one beer to get drunk...just not sure if it's the ninth or tenth one

Unlock the multiplier and overclock it that way. Its more stable and you don't have to worry about your PCI bus speed.
