As far as I know you would need a Cisco router. I haven't heard of any others on the market where you can connect two WAN's together.

Ghost isn't that much of a pain. In fact its real easy. You will need a network boot disk with the correct drivers for you NIC card so you can get network connectivity.

You have to either login to the ME computer with the same ID and password as one of the accounts on the W2k machine. Or setup a account on the W2K machine that you are using for the ME computer.

Nortel VPN doesn't use IPSEC. In fact you must disable the service in Win2k. You will a message telling you to do so when you launch the extranet if its enabled. But anyways, I know Linksys supports it.

How to limit the bandwidth that a computer or adapter uses in Windows 2000

If you install the QoS Packet Scheduler (Psched.sys), you can limit the combined bandwidth reservations of all programs running on your Windows 2000 system by setting the NonBestEffortLimit value name, a REG_DWORD data type, to a percentage, between 0 and 100, of the total connection bandwidth. I don't know of a way to close ports without a firewall/router. If you get a software firewall then you can close them for dial-up also. Yes you can still run servers, you will just have to open certain ports.

I go exactly with what your saying, I would invest the $100 bucks on the router. Just so I didn't have to mess with ICS. You have to buy the NICS regardless. ICS is cheapier if thats the way you want to go. You will have to buy a third NIC that way though.
