Nortel Network Extranet Access Client and Personal Home Routers

Post by magus32 »

I use Nortel Network Extranet Access Client for my VPN. The Extranet Access
Client uses the IPsec protocol to establish a secure end-to-end connection.
Do you know if any personal home routers (i.e. Linksys, D-Link, 3Com) will
work with this software?

OK then I may be mistaken somewhat. It may use its own IPSEC but I'm positive if the service in Windows is running it won't work.

I won't disagree with you there. Lucky, I'm using 98 and don't have to worry about the conflict of IPsec services. Thanks for your help though!

Nortel VPN doesn't use IPSEC. In fact you must disable the service in Win2k. You will a message telling you to do so when you launch the extranet if its enabled. But anyways, I know Linksys supports it.
