recommendation -
System.ini is for 16 bit apps and programs, not for 32 bit.
Forget about using it in any NT OS or WinME.
It's just not needed unless you are trying to run some leftover legacy software you absolutely have to have or under very special circumstances.

There's nothing to argue about.
Since mnosteele52 won't say it clearly, I will -

Those settings are only for Win9x.
They are totally ignored by WinXp.
Some of those only appied to Win3.12 and earlier.

Any site that promotes their usage for WinXP is a useless site, not to be trusted and obviously ...

Load Balancing is a feature of Advanced Server or Datacenter Server only, not Server or Pro.

Load Balancing is NOT combining for increased throughput, it is balancing the workload/demand across servers, hence the reason it's not part of Server or lower levels of the OS.

Actually JeffL that's not quite right.

Fat32 supports up to 2 terabyte.
And Fat32x (which is what is in WinMe, Win2k and WinXP use) supports up to 8 terabyte.
(And NTFS up to 16 terabyte)

The 001 and 002 sets are what was used the last and time before last (successful) boots respectively.
