Installed RamDisk...wont' download large files
I installed Ramdisk from superspeed and use it for my temp internet files but I won't able to download larger files. The ramdisk drive is "S" and I set it to about 20 MB and it works fine, except that when I dl large files I always get a corrupted files, so I switched the Temp Internet Files to the main drive again and it all my DLs are fine. Why is this?

Sorry, but the problem has nothing to do with either the OS or type of RamDrive.
(And I fully agree paying for a RamDrive is ridiculous, at best)
When downloading, files are temporarily held in a cache untill the file is complete.
That cache is your "Temporary Internet Files" folder.
Whether on a HD or a RamDrive, the largest file you will be able to download successfully, is governed by the available size of the "Temporary Internet Files" folder.
(That's also why downloads fail when you don't flush your "Temporary Internet Files", when you download heavily without rebooting for days or when doing heavy multiplr downloads at the same time)
If your RamDrive is 20meg and has your "Temporary Internet Files" folder on it, the largest file downloadable will be 20meg minus whatever "permanent" files (overhead) are already on the Ramdrive.
So how much bigger was the temp file on your HD as compared to the one on the RamDisk?
Probably at least 2000%?

that's what I was thinking too--it takes the space of the IE temp files location wherever it is. But this doesn't happend if the drive where the temp files has more capacity, so it don't matter how big the temp folder is but what drive it's on I guess. Well, I didn't buy the software but it's a full functional one. I hope they aware of this issue. Somewhere I saw you can modify the registry to create a ram drive and Im about to take a try at that. Anyone have any idea how well it works?

Putting your temp files in a Ramdrive isn't going to speed anything up except if you return to a webpage you have cached in it. The things I have loaded are the tcp/ip.sys, afd.sys and my NIC driver and it flyes. It is a noticeable difference in latency, web pages load extremely fast and my overall download speed has increased. Just follow the instructions here from Dannjr and it will work I have done it on about 6 machines already with positive results and no problems. Good luck.

mnosteele52 tell me ...
mnosteele52 tell me ... what's this "it flyes" ?
Sorry but my english is poor
And where can I find the registry key fot NIC drivers ? HKLM ?
I would like to try your method because my RamDisk load slowly again
Thx

What I mean Patapouf is that my connection is much faster after setting up the Ramdrive. To find your NIC driver right click on my computer and select properties - hardware - device manager - select your NIC and right click on it and select properties - driver - driver details - look for the entry with a .sys ending the path for the driver should be C:\WINNNT\System32\drivers\yourNIC.sys. Now open regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services and under services look for the same name as your NIC driver and set it up just as you did afd.sys & tcp/ip.sys.
