Looking for help choosing a monitor/tv

When transferring from an external drive, windows says some files are not there.

I'm trying to copy about 160 GB worth of media files from one external drive to my internal drive. The process gets so far then I get an error saying "item not found" "could not find this item, it is no longer located in blah blah blah directory". it is however definitely there.

OK I'm not sure how exactly Win 7 works, but if I do a reinstall, what data will I lose off the partition? Not sure if it just reinstalls system files and also deletes data files or what the deal is.

I have an Athlon 64x2 3800 CPU at stock 2.1 ghz. My gfx card is a geforce 7800gt.

I am looking to upgrade to a Radeon HD6850 gfx card but wondering if on modern games if I'd see less benefit than if I kept the very old card I have now but upgraded the mobo/CPU.

Intel is by far cheaper and faster than AMD at this time.

And I'd stick with Nvidia for a graphics card, the driver support is just much much better at the moment. The new series is getting ready to release also which should drive prices down some more on current models.
