Looking for help choosing a monitor/tv

Post by velvta »

Basically I am looking for a new monitor. I do PC gaming AND also color correction for video work. I'm kind of torn between these sets:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6889112058

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QH270-Lite-Ac ... 727wt_1185

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6889112058

From what I know, the TV's pixels are larger than a monitor's so maybe for PC gaming it might not be a good deal. Also i need accurate colors due tot he color correction work. Just wondering what the more techie people here think...

It looks like you are trying to spend as little as possible to get a 32" screen. Personally for use as a monitor I think they would suck.

Thats in the price range of the TV's you listed and has a nice backlit IPS panel.

Heres one at 27" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824176242

For the best image quality and color correctness IPS panels win.

Sounds like a good idea if you want a large screen.

I bought one of theseclick.

Perhaps not perfect for color correction work, but can be adapted.... to an extent.

Those monitors are suppose to be quite something David. I believe they have IPS panels as well.

I have one. It is quite nice for gaming and general computer use. Bright as all get out.

This one looks really good and catchy especially for It LG IPS LCD panel and the price. I am tempted to buy it.
