Can't run a Java program, "could not create virtual machine" error

So I have been trying to run this java game since I purchased it to no avail. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 different versions of Java, 5 6 and beta 7 and I still get the "could not create virtual machine" error". Ive turned off my antivirus thinking maybe it was interfering but still nothing.

ANY clue from anyone what to do to troubleshoot this?

hey some kind soul on the forums for the game went through a painstaking process to narrow down what the deal is and I finally got it running. Thanks though.
