It looks like regular WiFi6 but not 6E, with extended band and 6GHz support. They do not even provide bandwidth data in the specification on the manufacturer's website. Hiding parameters looks bad. Same with VERY expensive USB wifi 6 dongle (100$). Laptop Intel AX210 (WiFi 5E) costs about 20$, so D-Link products are just expensive - without reason.
Data rates are listed in the data sheet. Kinda hard to miss that.
This model never intended to support 6E so why bring it up? Meant an a entry level wifi router with AX support only. 6E is still only in draft and not certified nor is there hardly any devices supporting it. Give 6E another year or or two. AX and AE are still problematic. Also not all devices can take advantage of AX performances. Look at the antenna design. Anything 2x2 will limit performance AC or AX. The DIR is a router and meant to be a router and wifi AP. Not a Dongle.
Just installed this +1 additional DIR as a wired MESH extension for my house. 5000sq ft home. Main DIR is on 2nd level. 2nd DIR is in basement opposite ends of the house. Ethernet connected. System is working well for a two unit system. Speeds are good and coverage is good as well. Though not as powerful as some other MESH systems. It's doing what it's supposed to do. I wish D-Link would give indication on when the 2nd or remote unit is either wired or wireless connected to the main DIR router. Hard to tell how it's really connected in the main routers web page. This could be done better. The 2nd DIR does show devices that are connected to it though. That's great. One other item to note is that the case style for the DIR is very light. So when you connect any kind of heavy LAN cables to the back of the unit, it will tip over. So you'll need to figure out how to keep the LAN cables from dragging the router off the table or making it fall over. It could have used some weight at the bottom.
