I'm doing my semi-anual upgrade on my old 8100. Just topped off the memory(Rambus is way too spendy). Got a PNY GeForce 6800 GT. and a Plextor px-716a. I'm sure that's all I can get away with for a while.

Thanks for your time.

The picture idea is a great one, I'm always tearing apart stuff and fixing it and there has been a time or two when a good digital photo would have saved me a lot of time.

Thanks, I'm glad I asked. I found some great deals on P/S some less than $30.

I don't mind modding my case a bit but this link sure looks like the easy way out.

Power Supply Info ????

I am doing some upgrades on my computer and decided that my 250w power supply aint going to cut it.

I'm looking at probably 500w range, but I don't know anything about them.

Questions:

1. If I order a power supply, do all of the cables come with?

2. Is there anything that I should be looking ...

You know I may be a chauvinist, but I think the majority of that article is pretty close to describing my wife. I've never understood why she always treats me like a King. (She says it's because I treat her like a Queen).

Maybe there's something to that eh?

I love my WS, however I do have some apps and games that don't look right so I change my primary screen to my 21" and all is good.

That's if you have room enough for a dual monitor setup.

If I only had room for the one I would defiinitly go WS.

I used to be a "Roxio" guy. Until about a year ago and I finally used Nero. The learning curve wasn't too steep and it can do sooo much more, and it's sooo much faster.

After I bought my 708a they came out with the 716 with-in a couple of weeks.

The only thing that I didn't like about the 716 is it comes bundled with Roxio instead of Nero.

I've never had any problems with my Plextor drives either. That's part of the reason I wanted to stay with them.

I'm sure they will release the 760 as soon as I buy the 716. (That's what happened last time I bought one)

Plextor PX-760A 18x speeds?

I heard that Plextor just came out with a new DL DVD Burner that pushes 18x speeds.

I heard this was supposed to be a great drive and I put a purchase of the PX-716a on hold so I could compare, but I can't find any real info on it. (or where to buy one)

Is this drive a myth or maybe just not ...

Can't you do that with Real Player?

I tried to copy a message on Real Player that I listened so I could listen to it off-line. but when I clicked on it, it just took me to the site again to reload it.

I don't know if that's that's your looking for?

Nero rocks!

I was going to change over to Nero, the last time I upgraded, but then I saw an article in Max PC that showed that Roxio 6 was actually faster (a 1st) so I just upgraded. What a big mistake.

I've never seen one so slow as Roxio drag-to-disk (45min to format a stinking disk.

Quite a few of them will do this.

Photoshop is good but steep learning curve, and $$.

Photoshop Elements 2.0 will work and is less expensive and a little more user friendly, (but it would pay to get a book).

MS Picture the latest version, I'm pretty sure will also do it. It's a simpler program ...

First try to get rid of Roxio. I've had a lot of problems that ended when I got rid of the EZ CD 6. I didn't have the problems with 5.

You could try the downloads from thier site but they didn't help me.

I'm not sure that is the problem but it's a start.

I went to Alcohol’s web site and checked out their user’s manual. I’ve never seen a program that will do what this one will. I’m going to download the trial version and try it out, but if it’s half as good as I think it’s going to be I’ll be coughing up the bucks to buy it shortly.

Ive never heard of anyone beating a Vascar Ticket, but Radar is another story.

It still, most generally, comes down to a credibility issue. Are you more believable than cop.

However, I did have lunch a couple of weeks ago, with a Judge, and he said that he "dished" one to the defendant ...

That's true. It almost never hurts to go ahead and get a court date and show up.

The worst that could happen is that he shows and you have to pay it anyway.

It doesn't matter when he turned his lights on. Only where he "checked" your speed.

Did he check your speed on Radar, Vascar, Stopwatch, or do you know?

I'm just tired of replacing games that I've already paid for once.

I own games from Risk to Medal of Honor to Max Payne.

I would like to ...
