Hey guys,
I am back. Still with Charter on the 20mb/2mb plan. Recently they implemented PowerBoost. Basically gives me faster speeds for a few seconds or when not many are using the network. Do I need any more tweaking using the SG TCP/IP Optimizer or are the settings still fine? Also. I heard we ...

Linksys WRT54GL and Tomato firmware disable dnsmasq....?
Any one know how to do that. I am using 1.23 version of Tomato. I thought by unchecking the cache box. And rebooting the router. Woould do the trick. Dnsmasq is still enabled though.

Blocking isp dns redirection......
I just discovered how to use dnsmasq. I am using it to block dns redirection from my isp. Now. Is this even technically possible? I have noticed much more speedier internet and pages are not timing out any more. I would even got as far to say it is a pretty drastic improvement. But, like I said. Is ...

When having 2 or more 360's. UPnP is a must. And that is the only way you can get a open NAT status on all 3. I have only got upnp to work properly with 3rd party firmware. Currently running Tomato. Stock firmware does not cut it. I personally would never use it with a pc. I currently have it turned ...

Tomato and Linksys WRT54GL transmit power?
Any benefit to bumping it up from the stock setting of 42mW to 70mW? I see quite a few people running it at 70mW. Does it effect the life of the router? Does it pose any kind of health risk over time? Mine is brand new.

I hear so much about this combo and how great it is. I am a complete wireless noob and know nothing about it. I need to free up a couple ethernet cables both at 50ft long. The only way I can get to the page is by rebooting the modem. And then it will only work for for a little bit. Maybe a couple hours or so. Now I do have a Linksys BEFSR41 v4.0 router. With newest firmware. If I remember correctly. When your behind a router and want to view your cable modem ...

My old setup was the same router but with a Toshiba PCX2200 cable modem. I finally had to retire it since I upgraded my service to 10mb/1mb. I ...
