punkbuster is primarily for ladder and league matches but it's side effect on public servers has been good too. it won't remove the cheats, but reduce them. I went 29-4 yesterday, one of my better days, on a pB server, and never once got called a hack or a cheater. I got "Well done"s and "Way to go ...

interesting.......
This is very odd. My roomate is using a separate IP from my own, and his traceroute uses the same path, and he only hops to 90ms. He's on win98 I'm on win2K if that makes a difference.
Everything's ok right now, but i can't guarantee that it'll stay that way forever. I wish it would though. Thanks ...

Linksys 1-port troubles
Well, i've searched thru the old speedguide posts but haven't been able to come up with an answer of why the following happens.
Setup:
Cable modem comes in from the poll. From there it hits the 1port LInksys Router. from there it goes into a 5port hub. in that hub we have 2 machines hooked up. a ...

upload cap just put up
state college pa. again.
upload cap of 128kbps just put up this morning. grrrrrr.
i have 3 ip's on my account. do ALL of them have 15KB/s or just the total modem upload speed? if it's 15KB/s for EACH IP that is good. if it's 15KB/s for the whole modem, that sucks.

RAM questions
With prices so low i have a few questions:
1.)What's the difference between buffered and unbuffered RAM?
2.)What's the difference between ECC and non-ECC?
3.)I'm running generic pc100 ram at 112Mhz at CAS2 rather than CAS3. I have my celeron566 @ 953Mhz right now, and i need new ram that will ...

the loss of sync is due to the overloading of the local routers. they can't handle the traffic and disconnect people for short times to allow the traffic of those online to get through. there's nothing we can do about it.
