details: N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit VDSL2/ADSL2+ Router
hardware type: DSL Wireless Router
date added: 2014-03-16
updated: 2020-02-15
TP-LINK's TD-W9980 N600 Dual Band Gigabit VDSL2/ADSL2+ Router comes with the latest ITU-T G.993.2 VDSL2 standard, providing up to 100Mbps speed downstream and upstream, and backward compatibility with ADSL.

What's more, this device allows for two different connection types: VDSL/ADSL, or Ethernet WAN, giving users the flexibility to access the Internet whichever method is most convenient. With 2 multifunctional USB ports, users can share printers, files and media across the local network or the internet.

With 300Mbps wireless speed over the crystal clear 5GHz band and 300Mbps over the 2.4GHz band, the TD-W9980 allows for seamless HD video streaming, online gaming and other bandwidth-intensive tasks.

The ability to support up to 10 IPsec VPN tunnels simultaneously gives TD-W9980 users the flexibility to setup a virtual private network, to guarantee network security and take advantage of network access whether at home or away, for work or simply to access files from their local networks.
