TP-Link Archer VR2800v

details: AC2800 WLAN MU-MIMO Telephony DSL Router
hardware type: VoIP Gateway
date added: 2024-06-08
updated: 2024-07-24
The VR2800v features Super VDSL (VDSL2 Profile 35b), the latest generation of DSL technology. Downstream is increased by up to 350Mbps, 3.5x faster than its VDSL2 predecessor.

The Archer VR2800v, reaching speeds of up to 2167Mbps on the 5GHz band and 600Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, uses 802.11ac Wave 2 Wi-Fi that uses four innovative technologies to bring your home network to new levels of wireless speed, coverage and stability.

NitroQAM (1024-QAM) and 4-Stream boosts wireless performance by up to 25% for combined speeds of up to 2767 Mbps. 600 Mbps on 2.4GHz is perfect for everyday surfing and emailing, while 2167 Mbps on 5GHz provides 4K streaming and lag-free gaming.

When multiple devices are connected to the router, each needs to wait its turn before receiving more data, leading to slower network and internet speeds. MU-MIMO technology serves up to four devices at once, reducing wait time, increasing Wi-Fi throughput for every device and boosting the efficiency of each stream.

Four external high-performance antennas provide omni-directional coverage throughout your entire home or office. Advanced beamforming automatically locates wireless devices and forms targeted, efficient wireless connections to them, even as they move from room to room.

The Archer VR2800v is powered by a Broadcom 1GHz dual-core CPU, enhancing throughput up to 2x faster than a typical modem router. Two additional co-processors help maintain full-speed performance through multiple simultaneous tasks to let you surf, stream and game smoothly, without ever slowing down.

Use the Archer VR2800v for all your advanced landline calls. Connect up to six DECT handsets with an HD-quality voice signal, as well as two analog phones or fax machines. With storage for up to 540 minutes of voice messages, never worry about missed phone calls or deleted messages again.

Two USB 3.0 ports run up to 10x faster than USB 2.0. Enjoy local storage and printer sharing, connect to a media server, and remotely access via FTP server faster than ever.Four Gigabit Ethernet ports operate up to10x faster than standard Ethernet. Desktops, game consoles and digital media players achieve peak performance all day long.

The tpPhone app allows you to make high-fidelity landline calls over the internet from your smartphone or tablet.

Set up the Archer VR2800v in minutes thanks to its intuitive web interface and the Tether app. Manage network settings, including Parental Controls and Access Control, from any Android or iOS device. Tether also provides Automatic Firmware Updates to always give your network the latest performance and security.
