The D820R is an ADSL2+ modem together with router, providing a downstream rate up to 24Mbps and an upstream rate of 1.4Mbps. The D820R complies with ADSL, ADSL2, and ADSL2+ standards. It also supports multiple network protocols and provides NAT router and bridge functions. A splitter with filtering is included to allow telephone and internet connections from the same jack.
