The SMC8014WN-RES Wireless Cable Gateway combines a cable modem, an integrated 4-port router, and 802.11n wireless access point. The gateway is DOCSIS 2.0 compliant to ensure interoperability with existing cable systems.
The integrated access point supports 802.11n draft 2.0 standard with wireless transmission rates of up to 300Mbps. It supports WEP and WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption and WMM (QoS). A WPS button allows worry-free wireless security configuration.
This gateway supports VPN pass-through for PPTP, L2TP, and IPSec. A built-in SPI firewall protects the network against intruders and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.
