The GW-MF54G2 is a compact travel size wireless router with one 10/100Base-T port. It can operate in three modes: AP, Router and Client. You can switch between theese modes, using an external switch.
In router mode, the RJ-45 port is used on the WAN side to connect to a broadband modem and provide wireless connectivity to client PCs.
In client mode, the port is used to connect a single client to a wireless network
In AP(Access Point) mode, the port is used to connect the unit to a local network and provide wireless connectivity to multiple client PCs/laptops.
The integrated access point complies with IEEE 802.11b/g, providing wireless transmission speeds of up to 54Mbps. It supports WEP and WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption and uses WMM (QoS) to prioritize the traffic over the network.
This router provides VPN pass-through for IPSec, L2TP and PPTP. It features a built-in firewall to protect the network against malicious attacks.
