The NETGEAR N900 (WNDR4500) Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router delivers the ultimate in WiFi performance and range.

The router provides up to 450 + 450 Mbps speed and with simultaneous dual-band technology avoids interference ensuring top WiFi speeds and reliable connections. Improved wireless range delivers better connections for larger homes and multiple devices, while four gigabit Ethernet ports offer ultra-fast wired connections.

Two USB ports enable connections to external hard drives and printers for wireless access and sharing with now even faster USB access speeds.

Usage meter application monitors Internet data consumption and can send customized alerts when usage is close to monthly bandwidth limits, avoiding costly overage fees for those with metered service plans.

This router is DLNA compliant. It is IPv6 ready.

Every 3 seconds, whenever this router is on, it broadcasts a UPNP announcement on UDP port 7423. With any other modem I've owned, there's a way to turn off UPNP broadcasts. This is a problem, some end stations don't power down properly with these constant, but undesired broadcasts. Netgear support vaguely says they can't or won't or don't want to fix.
If you feed a smart or managed switch from this router, there's a good chance you can filter this on the switch port.
