The WRTR-229GN is a wireless broadband router with a single 10/100Mbps WAN port and four 10/100Mbps LAN ports. It uses "Multiple Input, Multiple Output" (MIMO) technology to increase the range and reduce "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area.
The integrated access point complies with IEEE 802.11n (draft 2.0), providing wireless transmission rates of up to 300Mbps. It supports WEP and WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption. The WRTR-229GN uses WMM (QoS) to prioritize the traffic over the network.
This router provides VPN pass-through for IPSec, L2TP and PPTP. It has a built-in SPI firewall that provides a reliable protection against hackers and malicious attacks.
