The EIR900 delivers secure broadband connectivity, high-speed wireless networking, and remote access for multiple offices and remote workers. It operates concurrently in both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands with up to 450Mbps wireless speeds on each band.

The router supports IPSec and PPTP VPN tunneling for remote users or branch offices to establish secure connectivity to a company network. It includes an advanced SPI firewall designed to block malicious software attacks. Also features MAC, IP, URL and Port filtering tools to block unauthorized users and devices or access to inappropriate Web content.

This router features built-in FTP, SAMBA, DLNA servers and supports iTunes streaming via its two included USB ports. USB hard drives and USB-enabled DLNA servers can connect to the routers USB ports for file sharing and media streaming.
