Edimax PRI-682

details: InBound & OutBound Load Balancing Broadband Router
hardware type: Multi-WAN Router
date added: 2010-08-18
updated: 2010-08-24
The most unique feature of the Edimax's Professional and Industrial grade PRI-682 dual WAN broadband routers is the support for inbound load-balancing. This is the critical feature that enables you to have reliable, fail-safe, self-hosting of Internet servers. Inbound load balancing is with respect to the PRI-682, whereby Internet service requests are incoming to the PRI-682 (Inbound) to access your Internet Web servers on the LAN.

In addition to the standard features of a professional grade router, the PRI-682 has the following exclusive features:

* Supports 2 WAN lines
* Has a Built-in DNS Server providing inbound load balancing
* Supports both Inbound and outbound load balancing
* Performs Outbound load balancing by session, weight round robin or traffic
* Includes Quality of Service (QoS) control
* Sends Email alerts

This router is available from Edimax USA.
