D-Link DI-524

details: AirPlus Wireless G Router
hardware type: Wireless Router
date added: 2006-02-18
updated: 2015-11-01
The D-Link DI-524 AirPlus G router is nearly identical to its slightly larger and faster sibling, the DI-624 AirPlus Xtreme G router.

The DI-524's feature set offers a virtual DMZ and VPN pass-through. For wireless security, you can choose between WEP, WPA with preshared key, or even 802.1x security using TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) through a RADIUS server.

The easy-to-use configuration wizard takes only minutes to setup and guides users step-by-step through configuring the DI-524.

If you're looking for a no-frills router with a full feature set, the DI-524 is definitely worth a look.

I have been using the DI524 for about 3 years and have had good performance. I did discover that if you need additional ports beyond the 4 built-in, it works best with DLink switches as opposed to other brands.
