The RV082 comes with dual Internet ports that can serve as a failsafe system for 24/7 network uptime or as a load balancing secondary connection to a separate Internet provider.

Additional features of the RV082 VPN Router include:

- 50 QuickVPN users and up to 100 IPSec tunnels for remote network access and/or to connect different RV082-based networks to one another
- Up to five users connecting via a Point-to-Point Tunneling protocol
- Separate Quality of Service (QoS) configurations for each of the RV082's individual LAN ports
- Up to 200Mbps of throughput per full-duplex LAN port
