|
details: | SURFboard Wi-Fi Router with RipCurrent G.hn Technology |
hardware type: | Wireless Router |
date added: | 2016-05-15 |
updated: | 2017-01-29 |
The SBR-AC3200P offers tri-band concurrent 802.11ac radios, two for the 5 GHz band and one for the 2.4 GHz band (802.11n with support for 256 QAM), providing automatically directed client connections for optimal Wi-Fi connectivity and speed based on a client's capability. Each radio includes 3x3 MIMO antenna arrays for the optimal reach, range, and throughput.
The SBR-AC3200P USB ports support DLNA 1.5, Digital Media Server, and SAMBA for NAS Drive support. Use the USB ports for a charging connection to mobile devices up to 900mA at 5v.
The SBR-AC3200P Wi-Fi Router provides four Gigabit Ethernet connections for use as the hub of your home/office Local Area Network (LAN).
The SBR-AC3200P uses the power cable connected to the Wi-Fi Router to connect to the power lines that already exist in your home. RipCurrent is based on G.hn Power Line Communication (PLC), which is an ITU Specification managed by the HomeGrid Forum.
This technology allows the SBR-AC3200P to distribute all data to each of the AC power outlets in the home. With a corresponding G.hn Extender, the Wi-Fi or wired network can be extended to any room, including basements, garages, or far reaching bedrooms.
