4ipnet EAP260

details: 300Mbps Enterprise Access Point
hardware type: Wireless Access Point
date added: 2013-05-10
updated: 2020-03-29
Embedded with 802.11n/b/g 2.4GHz MIMO radio in IP50 dust-proof metal housing, the high speed (up to 300Mbps) 4ipnet EAP260 Enterprise Access Point is designed for wireless connectivity in enterprise or industrial environments of all dimensions.

By pushing a purposely built button, 4ipWES (Press-n-Connect) feature makes it easy to bridge wireless links of multiple EAP260s for forming wider wireless network coverage. EAP260 also features multiple ESSIDs with VLAN tags; one EAP260 can emulate up to eight Virtual APs, great for enterprise applications, such as separating the traffics of different departments using different ESSIDs.

More importantly, EAP260 offers the feature "Channel Analysis" where an IT operator can effortlessly carry out a real-time wireless environment analysis before deploying. With just some clicks of the buttons, device activity, possible wireless interference, as well as channel density are clearly displayed. Administrator is thus able to bear the result in mind, picking up the right channel for his/her access point.

EAP260 can be deployed independently as a fat AP, or managed by a 4ipnet Access Controller as a thin AP. Furthermore, it can also support overlay deployment, extending an Access Controller's internal network securely over the internet via tunnels.
